Post Personal links to share with you
Hey all,
I would like to share with you a couple of links.

First one is Roxanne's weblog. Really cool place to learn how to contend for the faith. http://gauleygirladventures.blogspot.com

Second one is my weblog. It has a little bit of everything in there and I just added a couple of more sections today called Eternal Security and added a couple of sermons in the sermon section. Get a chance check it out!!! Please keep in mind that the news articles are a little old, since I haven't been updating it as much as I used to.http://crystalvideoarchive.blogspot.com/

God bless!!! :bye

Funny thing is I started that blog 5 months prior to my getting saved -- I had just recently gotten fired from my job at UPS right after memorial day in 2008 and had always wanted to start my own blog with stories of all my travel adventures. The Lord had blessed me with many opportunities to enjoy His creation. I left it as it originally started out if u check out from the very beginning in June 2008 then . . . . something changed by the end of October 2008. What I started out as a travel blog, the Lord redirected me to use it as a medium to contend for the faith. And formally as an ex Jehovahs Witness from many eons ago, I have this thing about exposing religious deceit. Boy it sure feels awesome to be free from bondage.
I still get to go on alot of interesting adventures because of my whitewater/backpacking background---probably should throw in a few more pictures of God's creation in there :bespectacled

I know what you mean about how or when the Lord changes you! with both my wife & I it was about 24 years ago & we were landlords of a public House in the UK. Now if you can try to imagine most of the lower end pubs in the UK are not the greatest places to go, unless you are of that ilk, te he he. At the time we had a pub that was lets just say it was a criminals place. It was where they all met, drank, exchanged info, planed out jobs boy talk about the criminal fraternity. My wife used to go round the tables & if they where planning there jobs she used to laugh & ask them not to forget her share!!!

There was one good thing to it & that was our pub was never targeted, they do say that you do not dirty in your own back yard don't they. Also I must also admit that if we had been the same as this load of people, we could have left that pub with lots of money, as every day we was offered jewelry galore, thousands of pounds of it, but we did not agree with that & would not do that. So I suppose we had some good beliefs at that time anyway. Well it was then at that time the Lord called us, although my mother had already come to the Lord we had not & it was someone that my mother knows very well & now so do we. He is a friend of Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum & one of the highest qualified theologians in the UK, although he does not teach or preach in church's.

It was when we used to come over & see our family on days off & if that man was there was all talked, well he opened up things in the word that neither I nor my wife had even seen or been taught & that was how we came to the Lord. Its obvious that there is a lot more to the story but that's it in short. I have to say that since the Lord has opened up so much for my family its wonderful.

gauleygirl, I hope you do not mind me asking this but I would like to know how you got on when you left the JW's, as they teach that you should not have anything to do with non JW's & even if they are family you are to ignore them. That must have been such a trying time for you to go through.

God Bless you all

It was unbeleivably hard in the fact they destroyed our family. My mom remained a JW until she died of cancer in 2005 --- she was an alcoholic AND a JW -- a nuclear combo to say the least as she put on her religious best around the Kingdom Hall. I left the JW in late 1987. My mom had little to nothing to do with me, and never bothered to really get to know her grandchildren (blaming that situation on me of course) it wasnt until the last 6 or so months of her life that she finally broke down the wall. I was with her when she died in the hospital. I didnt know Jesus then and was so mad that the supposed religion she dedicated her life to --- none of the people from the kindgom hall visited her or helped her while homebound. I was so burned up and because i didnt know Jesus i did something really stupid, i found and contacted the lady who originally studied with us when i was a teen---i told her about my moms conditions and asked her to come see her in the hospital. I didnt want my mother to die thinking the religion she dedicated her life to didnt give a rip. That really rips me apart on the inside that I did that. I did it in complete ignorance, but its something i will have to live with until Jesus returns and removes that memory from my mind. I know I am forgiven for all those things I have done out of sheer ignorance, but its another thing to deal with the ugly fruit of reaping what Ive sown, (if that makes sense) You have to forgive me i often rabbit trail . . .

anyway here is my salvation testimony. There is of course alot more to the Jehovahs witness part of the story but It would have turned into a novel. http://gauleygirladventures.blogspot.com/2009/02/1-of-20-final-countdown-jewish-people.html

btw: i know the link says "the final countdown the jewish people" in it--how weird---but it really does link directly to my testimony
